Q: We are currently finding internal voids when assessing cross sections of vacuum-brazed aluminum parts. What are some causes and solutions that would mitigate this?  

 

A: Companies and individuals who braze regularly commonly encounter voids in brazed joints and often wonder what causes them and how to prevent them in future brazements.
