Q: Is rebrazing permissible when repairing titanium brazed joints?
A: Most titanium brazing filler metals have brazing temperatures in the range of 800°–1000°C (1472°–1832°F), which coincides with the alpha-beta phase transformation temperatures of most titanium alloys. For example, beta-titanium alloys have a phase transformation temperature of about 800°C. For alpha-titanium alloys, it is about 900°C. For alpha-beta alloys, it is in the range of 950°–1000°C (17..
