Welders Talk About Breaking the $100k Earning Barrier April 7 on Instagram Live

This Wednesday, April 7, at 8:00 pm EST, the American Welding Society teams up with Arc Junkies Podcast host Jason Becker for Weld Wednesday with AWS on Instagram Live! The discussion topic is “Debunking $100k Myth - How to Take your Welding Career to the Next Level.” Joining Becker are three special guests who will share how they cracked the $100k income ceiling in the welding industry. 

Chloe Hudson @arcweldingangel, is a welder at Joe Gibbs Aerospace, completing weldments pertaining to a number of aerospace, aviation, and government-based contracts. She also welds and fabricates racecar parts for the Joe Gibbs Racing NASCAR team. Upon graduation from Tri-County Technical College cum-laude with a degree in Applied Sciences with a major in Welding, Hudson got had on the job training and work experience in nuclear power plant shut downs and refurbishments, fabrication and welding of nuclear dry cask storage containers to house spent nuclear fuel, millwright, hydro-electric turbine tear down and refurbishment. After nearly a decade in the welding industry, Hudson is now completely immersed in aerospace, naval, government, automotive and experimental aircraft production. Her future goals include pursuing my CWI/CWE to further contribute and continue to be an asset for Joe Gibbs Aerospace. 

Nick Bezates @bezatesn, owner of Bezates Construction Inc., has been in the welding services, fabrication and excavation business for over 15 years. He works in both new construction and repair of existing pipeline and structural infrastructures, specializing in carbon, aluminum and stainless steel. He provides certified field welding to D1.1, D1.4, D1.5, ASME IX standards. 

Chandler Vincent @chandlervincent, is one of the most skilled and decorated welders around. Chandler’s love of welding began as a freshman in high school, and it wasn’t long before he was winning SkillsUSA competitions in his home state of Utah. He went on to compete in the national championships twice and was chosen to represent the United States at the 2017 WorldSkills competition in Abu Dhabi; and came in 5th in the world at just 19 years old. Vincent now owns his own welding and fabricating business.
