New Member Welcome Webinar

To help our newest members learn more about their AWS member benefits we have launched a quarterly webinar series to provide an overview of what AWS members receive. While new members are the target audience, long-time members are welcome to attend. This online event hosted by AWS staff will provide an overview of AWS Individual Membership benefits, how to navigate the AWS Member Portal, and how to access several features. These online events are free, but registration is required.

Student Job Talk Series, Featuring Altec

A new virtual Student Job Talk series launches in December to assist AWS Student and Early Career members with learning more about the wide variety of opportunities in welding and related industries. Attendees will hear directly from AWS Sustaining Corporate Member companies and learn more about the company, descriptions of entry level jobs, what hiring managers are looking for, and what to expect once they get a job.

The first company featured in this series will be Altec Inc. With over 92 years of experience, Altec is a leader in providing products and services to the electric utility, telecommunications, arborist, and contractor markets in more than 100 countries throughout the world. Registration is free, but required, and open to all AWS Student and Early Career members.

This event was originally schedule for December 2021, and has been postponed until February 2022. Details and the registration link will be posted here in January.
