INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

The AWS International Scholarship offers $2,500 annually to an exceptional international student pursuing a degree in welding or related fields. Open to students outside AWS's 22 Districts, this scholarship embodies our commitment to advancing welding education globally and fostering industry innovation.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Full-time international student in undergraduate or graduate studies in welding or related joining sciences.
  • Completion of at least one year in a welding or related program at a Baccalaureate degree-granting institution.
  • Provide official proof of acceptance from an academic institution.
  • Provide proof of country citizenship.
  • Previous awardees can reapply, with a maximum of four awards per individual.
  • AWS Membership recommended but not required.
  • International students at U.S. institutions eligible for AWS District Scholarships.

 

Scholarship Funds

The scholarship provides a maximum of $2,500 annually, exclusively for tuition and fee expenses.

Funds are directly sent to the educational institution in U.S. currency, either through wire transfer or mail.

Recipients must return any unused portion of the funds.

Please note: The scholarship money is not disbursed to individuals directly.
