Tractor Assembly Plant Visit
This isn't your average museum! Your visit begins with a virtual ride in the bed of a massive two-and-a-half story Cat 797F Mining Truck. Learn how Caterpillar's story began as two companies came together to build Caterpillar on the foundation of innovation and customer focus. Unleash your inner engineer as you design your very own Cat machine. Test your skills on a simulator to see first-hand what it's like to operate equipment the way our operators do, and no visit is complete without climbing in a track-type tractor.
Caterpillar’s building SS builds some of the largest and most innovative machines in the industry. From the durable and versatile D6 to the rugged D11 Carrydozer, all of Caterpillar’s Track-Type Tractors are engineered for tough working conditions. The Caterpillar D10 is a trendsetting track-type dozer that is one of Caterpillar´s largest dozers in the company lineup. The D10 is over 45 years old and represents a significant advance for the design of tracks with an elevated sprocket. Building SS is proud to build equipment that helps improve the world.
