Certified Resistance Welding Technician

Resistance welding is a competitive, high-production industry that requires the expertise of well-trained technicians to keep pace with today’s relentless marketplace. The Certified Resistance Welding Technician credential validates the bearer has demonstrated knowledge about resistance welding principles, processes and equipment through a combination of education, experience and examination. The information below outlines the required education, experience, and information which must be submitted prior to taking the CRWT exam.

Do You Qualify?

To qualify as a Certified Resistance Welding Technician, applicants must have a combination of qualifying education and work experience, with supporting documentation:

MINIMUM EDUCATION MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

High school diploma, military or state approved equivalency (GED)

One (1) Year

Post-high school / GED graduate

Six (6) Months

N/A

Three (3) years

*Resistance welding experience consists of the design, application, or operation of welding lines or cells for the manufacture of welding products such as automobiles, appliances, wire products, sheet metal products, or other resistance welding products.
