Yes. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) earned through AWS online courses can be applied towards recertification provided the CEUs are earned during the certification period.
Yes. Professional Development Hours (PDHs) earned through AWS online courses can be applied towards recertification, provided the PDHs are earned during the certification period. Persons who successfully complete this online course will receive 4 PDHs. Candidates who pass the AWS D1.1 endorsement exam will receive 40 PDHs.

Yes. This course is designed to be used in conjunction with the D1.1 code book. Using the code book helps participants replicate and practice the navigational strategies that are required to successfully complete the open book portion (Part C) of the CWI exam.
Yes. Participants that receive a score of 75% or above on the Completion Exam will receive an AWS Certificate of Completion and 0.4 IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Yes. Upon completion of the final course module, participants are prompted to take an online exam designed to evaluate their comprehension of the subject matter. The online practice exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and must be completed within a 2-hour period. Participants who do not attain the 75% passing score may attempt to retake the exam a second time. Participants who pass the online practice exam earn an AWS Certificate of Completion and 4 Professional Development Hours (PDHs). The AWS Certificate of Completion can be downloaded and printed directly from the webpage.
Yes. Participants who receive a score of 75% or above on the practice exam will receive an AWS Certificate of Completion and 4 Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
Participants have access to the course content 24-hours a day for a period of 30 days from the date of registration. After this 30-day period, participants will have an additional 10 days to pass the practice exam. The exam can be activated before the end of the 30-day period if the participant has completed all the modules.
No previous knowledge is required. This course is designed to guide you in navigating and reading the D1.1 code in clear, easy-to-understand language and easily digestible chunks of information. Participants will learn to quickly locate important paragraphs, charts and tables, which is crucial to navigating the code in a timed testing environment and time sensitive working conditions.
The AWS D1.1 online course is ideal for persons preparing to sit for the CWI exam and have selected D1.1 for the code book portion (Part C of the CWI exam). The course is also ideal for active CWIs interested in familiarizing themselves with the D1.1 code as part of their efforts to comply with the requirements for 9-year recertification. Of course, non-CWIs interested in enhancing their educational credentials will also benefit from this self-paced, online program.
