The American Welding Society (AWS) has been named a 2025 South Florida Top Workplace by the South Florida Sun Sentinel. The honor is based entirely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey that measures several aspects of workplace culture—including alignment, leadership, communication, and engagement.

The survey, administered by Energage, invites employees to share candid feedback about how connected they feel to the organization’s mission, how confident they are in leadership, and how well they feel their voices are heard.

“This recognition reflects the dedication and energy of our incredible staff,” said Tatiana Milan, Chief People Officer at AWS. “It’s a testament to the culture we’re building together — grounded in collaboration, respect, and a shared commitment to doing great work that matters.”

AWS will be featured in the Sun Sentinel’s Top Workplaces special section, available in print and online on Sunday, May 11. AWS extends its thanks to the South Florida Sun Sentinel for spotlighting organizations that prioritize strong cultures and purpose-driven work.

As a nonprofit with a mission to advance the science, technology, and application of welding and allied joining processes, AWS is always looking for talented individuals who want to make a lasting impact. If you're passionate about workforce development, standards, education, or simply want to be part of a team that’s moving the welding industry forward, visit aws.org/about/work-at-aws to explore current opportunities.

To celebrate the achievement, the Sun Sentinel hosted an awards event on May 7 at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Hotel & Convention Center, honoring the region’s top-ranking organizations and the teams behind them.

AWS is deeply grateful to every team member for the role they play in making AWS a great place to work—and a place where meaningful impact happens daily.
