TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE (TAC)

SCOPE

The Technical Activities Committee oversees the AWS standards development program. It administers the activities of all AWS technical committees in accordance with the TAC Rules of Operation and reviews AWS standards across all technical committees. TAC acts in an advisory capacity to the Standards Council in respect to technical matters of the Society.

The AWS Intellectual Property – Artificial Intelligence Policy outlines the requirements governing the use of American Welding Society intellectual property in connection with artificial intelligence technologies. This policy applies to contributors and end users and is intended to protect the integrity, ownership, and proper use of AWS content.
