ITSA Graduate Scholarship Application

The International Thermal Spray Association offers an annual Graduate Scholarship opportunity. Since 1992, the ITSA Scholarship Program has contributed to the growth of the thermal spray community, especially the development of new technologists and engineers. ITSA is very proud of this education partnership and encourages all eligible participants to apply for consideration.

$2,000 Graduate Student Scholarship
May 1st through July15 ONLY
Up to three(3) scholarships worth $2,000.00 each to be awarded each calendar year.Scholarships are awarded to students for one year only.

Please complete the online application below for consideration.

PLEASE NOTE: ONLY applications meeting ALL criteria listed below will be accepted for consideration. Any number of students from one institution may apply. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made.

CRITERIA

  1. Student must be actively pursuing a postgraduate degree in thermal spray processes (plasma, flame, arc, HVOF) or materials at an accredited university (U.S. only).
  2. Student must have at least one more year left in studies (after the current year).
  3. Student must be recommended by a supervisor/professor of the university the student is attending. Student’s financial need must be verified by professor.
  4. Student must be recommended by at least one industrial source.
  5. Student must present an essay of his/her interest in pursuing a career in thermal spray (maximum of 3 typed pages).
  6. All paperwork must be received April 15 through July 15 ONLY. Paperwork received outside these dates will not be considered. Winners will be announced in August.
