Change in Reference Edition and Access for CWI Part C ASME Section IX, B31.1, and B31.3 Code Application Exam/Endorsement
Effective July 1, 2025, the CWI Part C ASME Section IX, B31.1, and B31.3 Code Application Exam/Endorsement will be updated to the following editions:
- ASME B31.1-2024 Power Piping
- ASME B31.3-2024 Pressure Piping
- ASME BPVC Section IX-2023 Welding, Brazing, and Fusing Qualifications
Candidates taking the exam at Prometric computer-based testing centers will no longer have access to PDF codebooks or reference materials provided on-screen during the exam.
Important Information:
- The exam will remain open-book.
- Candidates must bring their own hard-copy codebooks to the test center.
- Only original or bound printed materials (e.g., hardbound books, printed manuals, or 3-ring binders) are allowed. No loose papers and handwritten notes are permitted.
We recommend reviewing and preparing your hard-copy materials in advance to avoid any issues on exam day.
