Arc Junkies Podcast and AWS Continue Weld Wednesday Partnership
The American Welding Society (AWS) is pleased to announce the continued “Weld Wednesdays” partnership on the Arc Junkies podcast with host, Jason Becker. Since 2021, on the first Wednesday of each month, AWS Subject Matter Experts and Becker tackle a variety of welding-related topics such as, Putting your VA Benefits to Work for You, Changes to the D1.1:2020 Structural Welding Code, AWS Codes and Standards, and more.
"The goal of this partnership is to continue highlighting how AWS supports the welding community with resources, including standards, education, certification, and more," said Cassie Burrell, Senior VP, Strategy & Membership Development. "We're excited our collaboration with Jason on his Arc Junkies podcast can continue reaching a diverse and strong audience."
Jason Becker is one of the welding industry’s best-known influencers and champion for the welding workforce using major streaming services and other social platforms to help, educate and inspire our next generation of welders. A well-known and respected member of the welding community, Becker is an instructor at Valencia College in Orlando, FL, and holds Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and Certified Welding Educator (CWE) credentials from the American Welding Society.
“I’m excited to be working with the American Welding Society once again,” said Becker. “They are such a great resource for the next generation and I am happy to help get the word out about the many benefits of being a member.”
The monthly Arc Junkies Weld Wednesday podcast hosted by Becker continues his support of AWS and its programs, certifications and other services. AWS looks forward to supporting him through public appearances at FABTECH, including sitting on and moderating panel discussions, hosting his arc junkies podcast live from the AWS Booth at FABTECH, and more.

About Jason Becker / Arc Junkies: Jason Becker is a welder/fabricator with 23 years of hands-on experience in the welding industry. Jason is a Marine Corps Veteran and served during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom from 2001-2005. He is also an AWS Certified Welding Inspector and Certified Welding Educator (CWI/CWE). While teaching welding at his local college, he pursued his Bachelors Degree in Construction Management from Seminole State College and graduated with honors in 2016. Jason now works full-time as a welding educator and hosts the Arc Junkies Podcast in an effort to help, educate and inspire the next generation of welders.
