Are demographics destiny? As welding industry leaders, the demographics that alarm us start with the gap in the welding industry workforce . 

According to weldingworkforcedata.com, there are currently an estimated 770,000 employed welding industry professionals and more than 330,000 open welding positions. And between now and 2027, the number of open U.S. welding jobs will increase by an additional 90,000 annually. 

Because approximately 20,000 baby boomers (and many from Generation X) retire ..
