The AWS Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. It supports programs to ensure the growth and development of the welding industry through research and educational opportunities. Our industry depends upon education that prepares the next generation to meet the challenges ahead.
The Foundation is led by a volunteer Board of Trustees with all administrative tasks (program development, fundraising, public relations, marketing and financial management) provided by a small development staff of the American Welding Society.
Support Our Mission
The AWS Foundation would not be able to support the welding industry without contributions from its benefactors. The annual support we receive allows us to focus on helping those who need it the most. The students, industry professionals, and other people who benefit from our support are able to make their dreams a reality.
Every year, the AWS Foundation gives away close to $650,000 to students and industry professionals who want to pursue their aspirations. The AWS Foundation’s scholarship program would not be possible without the donations it receives every year. With over 50 scholarships to support, your generous contribution is sure to help a student or professional continue on the path to success!
The scholarships offered through the AWS Foundation allow students and professionals to focus on earning a quality education that will last a lifetime. With over 100 scholarships to apply for, applicants will have the opportunity to fund their education, and get one step closer to achieving their academic goals.
