Exam Impartiality and Appeals
AWS understands the importance of maintaining impartiality in executing certification activities; managing conflicts of interest; and ensuring objectivity throughout all certification activities.
A certification exam appeals process is available to all exam candidates. Appeals are limited to issues concerning the validity of a certification exam. Submission, investigation and decision on appeals shall not result in any discriminatory actions against the appellant.
Circumstances under which an appeal is considered invalid for review are as follows (and are not limited to):
- Feedback regarding the testing environment, location, or test supervisor. This should be sent via email to the Senior Manager of Certification.
- Feedback regarding specific exam questions. This can be submitted via the Certification Exam Feedback Form.
- Possible scoring errors. Submit a Exam Audit Request Form.
- Feedback regarding seminar or seminar instructor. Please email your comments to the Director of Education Operations.
If an appeal is warranted, please complete and submit the Appeal Form below. Once submitted, you will receive a notification of receipt via email. Final decision is normally completed within 30 business days (some processing times may vary).
