And since the dues are just $15 for the year, AWS Student membership is the easiest extra credit you’ll ever find.

Annual Dues
Annual dues for new and renewing student members are $15.
Membership includes digital editions of the award-winning Welding Journal, as well as Inspection Trends magazines. Print issues of Welding Journal are available for an additional $20/year*.
Students are eligible to maintain student membership status for a maximum of four years, as long as they remain a student during that time. Following four years of Student Membership or upon graduation, whichever occurs first, AWS Student Members are eligible to upgrade to Early Career Membership. Early Career Members receive the same benefits as Student Members, plus additional discounts on AWS products for up to five years before upgrading to Individual Member status.

Member Benefit Webinars
Webinars will be scheduled throughout the year to introduce members to various features of their AWS Membership, and offer guidance on how to make the most of their AWS membership. To register for upcoming webinars or view recordings of past webinars, AWS members should log in to the AWS Member Network.
New Member Welcome Webinar
To help our newest members learn more about their AWS member benefits we have launched a quarterly webinar series to provide an overview of what AWS members receive. While new members are the target audience, long-time members are welcome to attend. This online event hosted by AWS staff will provide an overview of AWS Individual Membership benefits, how to navigate the AWS Member Portal, and how to access several features.
