AWS - Technical Amendments / Addenda

On occasion, updates to text, tables, or figures within a given standard are made to correct errors introduced during typesetting (errata), to correct errors in substantive content inadvertently approved by the committees (amendment), or to add supplementary essential information prior to revision (addenda).

Users should ensure that they have the latest edition of AWS standards, errata, amendment, and/or addenda.

amendment.  The correction of an error in substantive content in a published standard that had been inadvertently approved by the required approval procedures.

addendum.  An addition or supplement to a published standard or portions thereof required before the complete revision and publication of the next edition of the standard.
