This award was established for the purpose of
recognizing AWS Student Members whose Student Chapter activities have
produced outstanding school, community and/or industry achievements.
This award provides an excellent opportunity for Student Chapter
Advisors, Section Officers and District Directors to recognize
outstanding students affiliated with AWS Student Chapters, as well as
to enhance the image of welding within your communities.
Student
Chapter Member Award Nomination forms may be submitted directly to
National any time during the year. A special certificate will
then be sent directly to the requestor for presentation to the
recipient. Recipients will also be recognized in the Welding Journal.

Type all information neatly or print in
dark ink.
AWS Member number
List the name of the Student Chapter
sponsoring the nominee. Also list the Section and District in
which the Student Chapter is affiliated.
If applicable, Student Chapter Officer
position(s) and year(s) held.
Academic Achievements: List
academic achievements.
Student Chapter Achievements: Show
examples of unique accomplishments through Student Chapter functions.
Participation in Community Projects:
List any community activities either individual or group conducted.
Other Outstanding Accomplishments:
Provide a summary of the school and Student Chapter Activities which
the nominee has been involved on a local, District or National AWS
level.
Include any supporting documents, and a
current photograph of the nominee, if possible. This photograph
will be published in the Welding Journal.
