CWI Seminar/Exam Registration Information
NOTE:
If you will be taking the CWI Examination you MUST complete the CWI Exam application form. You can download this form from the certification documents page. Registration for the seminar DOES NOT automatically qualify you to take the CWI examination.

  2. By Mail: Complete the exam prep course Registration Form and send to AWS. Complete the CWI Application form and send to AWS Certification Department.

D1.1 Code Clinic Sunday; 1 p.m.- 5 p.m.
Monday; 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
API 1104 Code Clinic Monday; 1 p.m.- 5 p.m.
Welding Inspection Technology Tuesday-Thursday; 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Visual Inspection Workshop Friday; 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Exam Saturday; report for exam at 7:30 a.m.

Confirmation
You'll receive a registration confirmation indicating prep course or exam date, site and hotel information. Check it for accuracy. You will also receive an exam confirmation. Check it for accuracy.

Special Hotel Rates
The hotel registration information will be included in your seminar or exam confirmation package. Please call the hotel and refer to the AWS room block to ensure you receive the contracted rates negotiated by the AWS travel agency, Business Travel Advisors.

Complimentary Meals
Complimentary group luncheon is included each day, a valuable opportunity to network with your peers.

PLEASE NOTE: Registering to attend one of the exam prep courses does not automatically qualify you to take the AWS certification exam. The exam application must be submitted separately to the Certification Department six weeks prior to the exam date you have selected.

Tax Deductible
The IRS grants an income tax reduction for educational expenses, cost of travel, meals and lodging if the purpose is to maintain or improve skills required in one's employment, trade or business; or to meet specific requirements for an employer or law imposed as a condition for employment.

AWS Membership
Your AWS Membership will become active after the completion of the exam prep course and/or exam.

Please allow up to 6 weeks for the Certification Department to assess your exam application. If you're eligible, you become an exam candidate, and a test site and date will be confirmed. The three-part exam includes: a closed-book exam on fundamentals, an open-book exam on the requirements of a fabrication standard, and a hands-on weld inspection test.
