What is RWMA?
The Resistance Welding Manufacturing Alliance (RWMA) is a Standing Committee of AWS that represents manufacturers making products for welding process and application. The committee is dedicated to providing a common voice to the welding industry, government bodies, and technical organizations worldwide.

Who are the members?
RWMA is comprised of 80+ companies who are the voice of the resistance welding industry. Membership consists of an extensive cross section of companies and individuals who all have a common interest and focus - the resistance welding process. Click here to see a list of our current members.

Divisions of RWMA Membership
Membership is categorized into three Divisions for Regular members, and multiple categories for Associate members.

• REGULAR MEMBERS
  Any individual, partnership or corporation which is a manufacturer which has, for a period of not less than two years, continuously engaged in the design, manufacture and selling of end products intended for use in the resistance welding process.

  Machinery Division  These companies are designers and builders of quality standard and special resistance welding machinery, complete lines of special or multi-purpose high-production machines, completely automated production lines, and special automatic production equipment for the metalworking industry which incorporates spot, butt, flash, projection and seam welding processes.

  Copper Products Division  These companies are manufacturers and metallurgical specialists, producing high-quality resistance welding electrodes, holders, adapters, seam welding wheels, forgings, castings, and other RWMA materials to meet the multi-faceted production requirements of the metal fabricating industries.

  Component Division  These companies are manufacturers of high-quality components and accessories for the resistance welding processes, producing controls, transformers, weld guns, weld cylinders, welding contractors, water chillers, cables, shunts, weld monitoring and test equipment.
  

• ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
  These companies are involved in the resistance welding processes.  They rebuild, supply, support, or use resistance welding equipment.

  • Sales and marketing organizations engaged in the distribution of resistance welding products sold into the marketplace.
  • Suppliers of products and services to RWMA member companies.
  • End users of machinery, electrodes and components manufactured by RWMA member companies.
  • International manufacturers of resistance welding machinery, components, and electrodes intended for sale in the marketplace.
  • North American builders of resistance welding machinery, electrodes and components, intended for internal use and consumption and not freely sold in the marketplace.
  • North American rebuilders of resistance welding machinery, electrodes and components intended for sale in the marketplace.

RWMA Committees and Subcommittees
RWMA is driven by active Committees that develop programs and initiatives to advance the resistance welding process, its education and its promotion. Each Committee is comprised of members from various companies who offer their ideas and constantly move forward on improving every aspect of this business. Your participation on one or more of these Committees is encouraged and will prove rewarding.
