What you missed at the RWMA 2008 Spring MeetingThis year over 52 members, representing 39 RWMA member companies, met in Bowling Green, Kentucky on April 30 – May 2, 2008, for the RWMA 2008 Spring Meeting. While at the meeting, the members had the opportunity to participate in Committee meetings, workgroups, as well as network with their industry colleagues during the evening social events. The attendees were entertained by Larry Moss, past Chair of RWMA, and Corvette enthusiast, with a slide presentation and informative speech on the history of the Corvette. Teamwork was encouraged during a fun Corvette trivia game. While at the meeting the attendees toured the Corvette Plant. They watched the fascinating assembly process of America’s favorite sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette, and caught a glimpse of the Cadillac XLR. They observed as robots welded the steel structures, and parts added to the Trim and Chassis. The members experienced the engineering marvel as the Chassis and Body came together in “marriage”. They were able to witness the birth of new Corvettes at First Start, and the thrilling drive off the end of the line. RWMA has consistently brought together unmatched industry presence and experience to their meetings, and this year was no different. |
