Re-emergence from the Recession On March 11-13, 2010, the Resistance Welding Manufacturing Alliance (RWMA), and the Welding Equipment Manufacturers Committee (WEMCO) have agreed to co-locate their annual meetings, which will take place at the award-winning PGA National Resort and Spa, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Because this is a co-located event, both committees will conduct independent their meetings; however, there will be ample time during the 3-day event to converge and network with each other about today’s pressing issues, such as the country’s current economic state, the challenges manufacturers are facing during the economic recovery and the global automotive industry crisis today. |

Two Committees—One Common Goal Although both organizations are standing committees of AWS, and are driven by separate agendas, they still share one common goal: to promote the well-being of the welding industry, and its positive growth progression in the future—whether specifically through the advancement of the resistance welding process; or, globally by collaborating with fellow industry leaders to harmonize efforts for promotion, distribution and acceptance of welding and welding-related products worldwide. |
