RWMA, established in 1935, is a group of professionals dedicated to the advancement and knowledge of the resistance welding process.  In June 2005, the American Welding Society (AWS) assumed management of RWMA as a Standing Committee of AWS.  The committee includes regular membership, which includes machinery, component and copper product manufacturers, along with an associate membership of end users, distributors, suppliers and educators.  Combined, the entire membership has become a dynamic force for promoting the resistance welding process and setting resistance welding standards in the industry.
