National Scholarship Recipients Announced

MIAMI--May 1, 2003--Thirteen men and one woman have been awarded National Scholarship for 2003-2004 by the American Welding Society (AWS) Foundation. To qualify for the scholarships, the students met stringent criteria, which evaluated their G.P.A., future goals, and in some cases state of residence and a written essay. The 2003-2004 recipients of the National Scholarship Program are:

Founded in 1989, the AWS Foundation has provided more than $2.1 million in scholarship grants to students with the desire to enter the welding industry.

Students interested in pursuing a career in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology, and other welding related fields may be eligible for financial assistance from the AWS Foundation.
