  • The new 2013 AWS D1.2 Aluminum Structural Welding Code
  • How to write specifications for aluminum welding
  • Aluminum welding processes, including GMAW, GTAW, PAW, stud, and FSW
  • Structural design of aluminum welded connections including fillet, groove, plug, slot, and stud welds
  • Structural design of welded aluminum members for tension, compression, bending, shear, and fatigue
  • Wrought and cast aluminum base metal and filler alloys and their tempers
  • Qualification of aluminum weld procedure specifications (WPSs) and aluminum welders
  • Fabrication of aluminum welds, including backing, preheating, edge preparation, assembly, tolerances, distortion control, repairs, cleaning, and PWHT
  • Inspecting aluminum welds using visual, dye penetrant, radiographic, and ultrasonic methods
